About
My name is Cauline Grant and I am a single mother to a gorgeous little girl called Tori who is currently 2 years old. I am a secondary school teacher specialising in RS and Philosophy and most recently became a children's book author. I started this blog to document the highs and lows of being a single black mum in the UK and give an insight on my experience being a millenial mum. During my pregnancy and my first year with a newborn, I was often overwhelmed with anxiety and my mind would be filled with millions of questions: am I doing the right thing? Can I provide for this baby alone? How will I ensure my baby is full of confidence?
I scoured the net looking for answers but did not find many that reflected my reality, so I decided to start my own site and create a safe space for mothers exploring these difficult questions. I'm confident there are women out there that can relate to my stories and hopefully be inspired and empowered by them.

Becoming a mother has been such a blessing! I have definitely grown as a woman, a teacher, a mother, an entrepreneur and a daughter of the Most High. Follow Tori and I on this beautiful journey of motherhood and daughterhood.
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139
